Update on the Girl's Group,
Well I had 8 girls, so I had my hands full,
The ages was 5 to 15 years old,
We started out with Sewing, I had let the girls
pick out the fabric they wanted about aweek before
we met, So I cut out the Aprons, and pin then,
So the girls could sew them by hand, They had so much
fun, some of them had never sewed before.
After sewing, we took a break and went in the Kitchen,
We started with something sweet for later, So the the girl
made the No Bake Cookie, Thank you Sarah for the Recipe from
"As Lilies Sewing" , So after we got that done, and the cookie's were
setting, We made a early dinner for all of us, and we had Spaghetti , and
Garlic Bread, We had a lesson on manner's
for young ladies at the table, and we had a lot of fun with everything,
After everyone was done, I had all the girl to break up in two team's
and they had fun putting a puzzle together, they did so well working
together, Now it was time for something sweet, all the girls enjoyed the cookies so much, then we had along talk about some of the things that the girls
would like to do, when we have our Girls Group, everyone shared what
they would like to do, " Sewing, Cooking, Knitting, Crochrting, Playing
games, Gardening, Sign Language, Learning more about all the women
in the Bible, and so much more, With it being the first meeting for the
girls, I think it went Great.
My daughter and I are learning to knit together, At our Libary
the past few months they have had a Mother and Daughter Knitting Class about
twice a month it has been great, We now know how to do knit and purl
stitches, and binding off, So now we are working on a Scarf.
I have been working with my daughter on the Sewing Machine "teaching
her how to use it, That has been so much fun, I have a lot of Sewing project
I would love to do with her.
Well that's about it for now.
