2010

I have been so bless to work on different things this year, and to learn some new things.
I love to sew, but never really had anyone to teach me, My mom sewed, but she did the best she could with what she had, she did hand sewing, Growing up I would watch her, But I don't remember alot, and she past away about 18 years ago, so for the past 10 years I have been trying to learn more, but it's been hard, but I am learning. This is a few thing's I have done this year. And what I'm teaching myself I'm teaching my daughter.
AS we come to the end of 2010,The Lord has BLESS us with a good year, There was some hard time's, but that is when you know GOD can get you though it, and he did. And I want to give him all the praise and glory, God has open my eye's to so much this past year, and I know the closer I walk with him the more he will show me.
We have to live in this world right now, but we DON"T have to be part of it, And it is good ( "Great") to be different, when your not, that is when you have to worry,am I pleasing to the LORD or to the world.

We have some we moved to the side for that one.
Also so far I have about 75 pounds of Venison in the freeze, The Lord has Bless us.
Processing our Deer meat our self has been a blessing.Few more weeks left on hunting, We don't eat beef, we eat alot of Venison, so we don't want to run out before next Fall.

Cranberries

It's also time for Cranberries.
Cranberrys are a seasonal food that can usually be found October through December.
The cranberries has been shown to have amazing antibacterial qualities.
After reading about how good they are for us,I have been looking for different ways I can eat them, and different ways I can put them up. Fall is the time for cranberries, so, I have been freezing them and also Dehydrating them.
Freezing them, all you have to do is select firm ones, Wash cranberries in cold water;drain. Pack into freeze jars, or freezer bags, Seal label and freeze. Dehydrating Cranberries: Wash then, then cut in half, Dip them in boiling water for 60 seconds then drain, then put them in for 24 hours.
I have a great recipe that I am trying, Once I get it right I will post it, It's all about looking for ways we can eat the way God would want us to.
We don't have to add all the bad things to what we eat to make it taste good, we have to get away from all the white sugar, salt and bleach flour.

Time to Harvest

Well it's Deer Season around here, So time to get to work on
processing the deer meat my husband harvest, and the one's that
are gave to us, "by a few of my husband's hunting buddies, It is
a blessing that my husband loves to hunt. "Now I have not always
felt that way", But for the past 7 years deer meat is about the only
meat we eat, With the high cost of processing, Last year I began
processing the meat myself to save money, And when we ran out,
few months before hunting season open,
It was hard, but I didn't give in and buy beef from the store.
We grind it all up, and use it like hamburger meat, We do not add
anything to it and it is all natural, And SO SO much better for you.

Hello Everyone

I'm not to good on keeping up on this blog, But I'm going to do my best to do better. There are alot of things I would like to cover on my blog, One thing being the battle plan for NUTRITION, Do we really know what we are eating? And what we are feeding our children? This is very important to me, And I pray maybe I can help other's, As God has showed me so many wonderful thing about his foods.
There was a great DVD that I came across at the Library last week for my daughter, I wasn't sure what it was all about, but before we watched it, That day I was in my favorite Health Food store and I always look at the different books they have and I could not believe it, they had a book that was the same as the DVD, So I know it had to be good, So the next day my daughter and I sat down and watched it, It was great, Everyone needs to watch this great DVD or buy the book, it will chance the way you look at your food. It is called FOOD, INC. A Robert Kenner Film.
