Keepers of the Home

I'm so excited, with the LORD guiding me, I'm starting a Girl's
group at my church, They will be learning to be Keepers of the Home,
We will be meeting twice amonth, on Saturday, We will be praying, Learning Proverbs 31, Cooking, Sewing, Cleaning, Budgeting, Gardening,Health and Fitness,and so much more.
We will have lessons on Modesty Values, Attitude of our Heart, How can we
be a Godly Example, Dressing in modest apparel, The young girls in our church do dress like girls, We believe girls should look like girls, and boys look like boys, Like God made us, and as God said in Deuteronomy 22:5
The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.
All so in Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are Written in the Lamb's book of life.
This is very serious, Our young girls need to know why. To many times we tell
the girls not to do something or they shouldn't do it, but we don't take the time
to teach them, or show them in God's word why we don't do what the world says is ok, and it's not.
As a lot of woman forget, Woman began to wear pants openly and without
censure during WWII when they took on a man's role in the factories.
To do a man's job,they began to wear men's clothing, and it became an
acceptable practice to wear them all the time, But please tell me when did
GOD say it was acceptable?
If it is ok for woman to wear pants, then why is it not ok for men to wear
a dress?
Because it not, Ladies we need to dress like women, Men still dress like men.

  1. How wonderful, Terry! I am excited for you, and I hope that your girls group goes very well! What a blessing it will be to these young girls as you pour into their lives, teaching and training them to be godly young ladies. Thank you for sharing about it! :)

  2. That is so great that you are starting a young ladies/girls group at your church! I have a book called "Keepers at Home or Keepers of the Home" with the "Hallmark girl" on the cover. It is a pink book that shows me what to teach my girls~it is for homeschooling. It includes all housewife responsibilities etc. cooking, sewing, knitting etc. Just like you are doing. I totally agree that women/girls need to dress feminine and not like men. That includes wearing dresses and not going around in jeans and t-shirts like most boys do. I wish I could start something like that at my church~I wanted to teach cross-stitching and knitting last year but most of the girls were not interested. So, we do it for homeschooling. I will pray that the year goes well~this is such a great way to honor our Lord. God bless, Rose

    Yes I have that book, and it is great,
    I'm planning to use it, In the past I have found alot of the young girls don't want to
    learn sewing, knitting, working in the garden,
    and I feel so bad for them, they don't understand what they are missing, and what
    it means to be a Keeper of our Home.
    I will be praying that God will send young girls your way so you can Bless them by teaching them what you know.
